Welcome! I'm Tyler Van Meter, better known as Tyler the Hiker. This page is where I share the charity and volunteer projects I'm currently involved in, the causes I'm supporting, and the opportunities for others to come alongside me. My mission is simple: to do things that matter with people who care.

My journey into volunteer work began by spending time with my dad during the Make-A-Wish Trailblaze Challenge hikes. What started as an opportunity to be together quickly became something much bigger. Along the way, I discovered an incredible community of volunteers, staff, and fellow participants, while also seeing firsthand the difference these organizations make in people's lives.

Since then, I've had the privilege of supporting several incredible organizations through fundraising, hiking, trail maintenance, disaster relief, and community service. Every project has reinforced the same belief: meaningful work is best accomplished alongside people who genuinely care about making a difference.
